Apple iPad 2 Jailbroken Already

Last week, Apple followers who were eagerly waiting for the announcement of iPad 2 jailbreak, were told that the jailbreak won't be possible until the iPhone 5 was announced. However, iPhone Dev Team member comex has managed to jailbreak the iPad 2 just in three days after its launch. As a proof, comex shared a photo of the tablet running Cydia - open source Debian package manager that acts like a jailbreak App Store for the iOS platform.

According to comex, a new exploit has been found to jailbreak the iPad 2 but no userland tool would be released until proper testing is done. This might take a couple of weeks and I am sure all the iPad 2 owners would be eager to know it. By now, everyone knowns that the iPhone Dev Team tests the exploit with every possible iOS device to be compatible with latest version of jailbreak tool. So, don't expect them to announce any estimated time of arrival soon.
